3M approves LanTEK® I and II series cable certifiers from IDEAL INDUSTRIES

IDEAL INDUSTRIES NETWORKS DIVISION is pleased to announce that its LanTEK® I and LanTEK® II series of cable certifiers have now been approved by 3M.

3M, a leading global supplier of complete data cabling systems for enterprise networks, has approved the LanTEK® I and II series for certifying copper Class E, Class EA, CAT6 and CAT6A 3M cabling systems, according to ISO/IEC 11801 Amendment 1 and 2, EN 50173 series and TIA/EIA-568-B-2-10 standards. The approval is valid for cabling systems and tester models in either permanent link or channel in UTP, FTP or fully shielded systems.

IDEAL INDUSTRIES introduces new cable certifier series LanTEK® II

Global manufacturer of advanced cable testing and certification equipment, IDEAL INDUSTRIES, has introduced the new LanTEK® II cable certifier series that provide certification to TIA, ISO and IEC LAN cabling standards.

Additionally IDEAL announces the FiberTEK® FDX fibre optic modules that allow the LanTEK® II to certify multi-mode and single mode fibre to TSB Tier 1 standards.

New low cost fibre optic cable testing kit is now available

A new low cost fibre optic testing kit has been launched that enables users to certify fibre optic cabling and optical devices. Absolute power and end-to-end cable losses can be calculated at four different wavelengths, including a 1490nm measurement mode, enabling users to certify emerging single mode ‘fibre-to-the-home’ cabling systems (FTTx).
